Run the unit as a rootless user service
...
WorkingDirectory uses %h, the unit installs under default.target, and it retries a failed start with a limit, the same as the other services on the VPS.

Remove the SearXNG bang
...
The SearXNG instance was shut down on 2026-08-11. Google (!g) is the default bang now, set with VITE_DEFAULT_BANG.
